TREPO BOARD MEETING MINUTES
April 5, 2016
ATTENDEES: JOAN NANO, PHYL REA, LAURA DAILEY, KAREN MULLINS, LINDA HIZER, MIKE

Joan Nano carried the prayer and pledge.
There was no secretary report due to the fact Perrie Whitten was absent at the March meeting.
Charles reported he and Mike Foret will be at Hodor Park on Saturday. He also gave the membership report.
There are 620 total members so far which was 30 ahead of last year. He stated 4 new members joined last week
Park Management-
Columbia County- Jule McGee stated the fence was fixed at Hodor Park and recently there have been many
downed trees. Joan Nano stated she found a person to assist at the Point Park gate for the summer.
Suwannee County- John Bryant stated the lock was damaged at Pitiful Park. It was decided to keep a lock on
the gate at the park.
Newsletter- John Bryant motioned to pay Karen Faunce $100 per year to compile the TREPO newsletter with
the advertising revenue going back to TREPO.
Spring picnic: The tent will be erected on Friday at 5 pm. Mike Wilson will purchase 4 plastic tables at
SAMS. Mike will also purchase cole slaw, beans, fish, grits and hushpuppies. Linda Hizer will order the
chicken. Evelyn Johnson will sell tickets and Laura Dailey will set up the cash boxes.
Old Business: The floors are finished in the renovated bathrooms, the walls are textured, and the piping is in.
The windows need placing and ceilings need to be installed. The stalls need to be purchased to the tune of
$1500 for 5 stalls. There will be 4 bathrooms provided at the picnic.
New Business: The A frame needs a new roof. Glenn Hunter and Sammy Keen are looking at prices.
Cemetary: After the picnic the cemetery committee will be getting back on task to continue cleaning and
updating this area.
Karen Mullins will be planting aquatic milkweed at the parks.
A guest commented that the State Park has contracted out the concessions and will rent out kayaks and canoes.
He is worried the crowds will spill over to Hodor Park and that TREPO should be aware of this fact.
Jule McGee motioned to adjourn the meeting with Charlie Arnett seconding that motion. Meeting adjourned.
