TREPO Board Meeting August 1, 2016 (approved September 5, 2017) Board Members Present: Joan Nano, Marcus Morgan, John Bryant, Laura Dailey, Tom Tramel, Glen Hunter, Sammy Keen, Jule McGee, Charlee Thompson, Mike Wilson Board Members Absent: Phyllis Rea (excused) Officers Present: Millie McGee, Evelyn Johnson, Linda Hizer Officers Absent: Victoria Imm (excused) Alternates Present: Karen Mullin, Charlie Arnett Alternates Absent: Sassy Johnson (excused) Guests: Paul Morris, Terry Downs, Larry Clifford, Kathy Stark, Eric Sweetapple, Vernon Goad, Garrette Goad
Vernon Goad addressed the TREPO Board before the regular meeting started. Vernon inquired as to why he was fired from his position in maintenance. After Jule McGee and Joan Nano responded that it was due to unsatisfactory work performance, Vernon was asked to turn in TREPO keys. Joan Nano also stated that if he wanted to continue discussion, it would have to be at a later time.
The regular meeting was called to order by Joan Nano and was opened with prayer and the pledge of allegiance. Roll call was conducted by Linda Hizer and the minutes for the June 6th and 28th meetings were discussed and approved. Evelyn Johnson presented the treasury report. The July P&L statement was issued and approved. The reconciliation detail report could not be reported on due to the fact that bank statements have not been received. Evelyn Johnson added that the new garbage bill had not been issued yet. It was clarified that Paul Morris would receive additional pay for the additional rounds made to patrol the parks Labor Day weekend. Future seasonal fees for park cleanup are to be discussed by the maintenance committee for Paul. The Membership Report was made by Charlie Arnett: 739 members total The CC Park Management Report was made by Jule McGee. A second person has been hired for cutting grass at Pt. Park, Bridge Park and Mid-Point Park. Downed trees in the river are presenting problems for floaters. Electrical lines still need to be put in the ground at Pt. Park. The SC Park Management Report was made by John Bryant. Kathy Stark raised concerns about clean-up at Brannon Park. John Bryant will contact “Dusty” about clearing a walkway to the river and clearing the area around the pavilion. The Newsletter should be issued in September.
