Howdy friends and neighbors,
I just wanted to take a minute to talk with y’all in my own words. I know there’s been a whole lot of questions this past year, and we’ve all had to walk through some things together. I’m real proud of how many of you reached out, stayed patient, and cared enough to ask what’s going on. That means a lot.
As most of you already heard, our old TREPO papers from way back had expired years ago. None of us on the current board were around when that happened, but it’s something we inherited and had to get fixed. Our lawyers helped us go through the state’s revitalization process, and I’m happy to say it’s now done. The same old documents we’ve all lived under for more than 30 years are back on record where they belong.
Now, I know sometimes the legal talk can sound big or confusing, but here’s the plain truth:
- TREPO is voluntary, you don’t have to join.
- Nobody’s making anybody join.
- And our parks and river access will be better protected now that the paperwork is right again.
We’ll be posting the revitalized documents online and having some printed copies out before Key Day so everybody can look them over. Later on, we’ll be able to start talking about updating things so they fit today a little better, but first we had to get everything legally back where it needed to be.
I’m proud of this community. We’ve got good people here, folks who love this river and these parks and want to take care of them. That’s what this board is trying to do every single day. We may not get everything perfect, but we’re working hard and doing our best to keep TREPO steady and moving in the right direction.
Thank y’all for your trust, your kindness, and your patience. And thank you for caring about Three Rivers Estates as much as we do.
Warmly,
Terri Hester
President, TREPO
