A Guardian of the Ichetucknee River
Three Rivers Estates is blessed with many wonderful neighbors, but today we want to shine a special light on someone whose dedication, kindness, and love for our rivers truly rises above the rest: Linda Dicker.
Linda can be seen in the Ichetucknee River every single day—rain or shine, summer heat or winter cold—swimming its currents with a purpose. While most people drift the river to relax, Linda uses her time to protect it. She collects trash, retrieves items lost along the way, and makes sure our waters stay clean, healthy, and beautiful for everyone.
Over the years, she has recovered jewelry, phones, keys, sunglasses, and countless personal items that slip beneath the surface. And here’s the part that shows her heart: at community events, Linda sets out the unclaimed treasures she finds and offers them completely free to whoever needs them. No charge. No recognition wanted. Just a simple act of generosity from someone who cares deeply about her neighbors.
But Linda’s impact doesn’t stop there.
She has also been a leading voice advocating for a no‑wake zone on the Ichetucknee, working tirelessly to promote safety, protect wildlife, and preserve the serenity of the river we all love. Her passion has brought attention, momentum, and community support to an issue that affects everyone who enjoys these waters.
Linda is more than a volunteer—
she is a protector, a steward, and a shining example of what it means to love this community.
Today, we honor her hard work, her heart for the environment, and her unwavering dedication to Three Rivers Estates.
🌊 Thank you, Linda, for everything you do.
Our rivers—and our community—are better because of you.
