At Hodor Park, the safety and well-being of our visitors is a top priority. To help maintain a secure environment, a camera has been installed in the TREPO area near the restroom entrances.
✅ What the Camera Does
The camera is positioned to monitor the area directly outside the restroom doors. It captures individuals entering and exiting the bathroom, along with a time and date stamp. This allows us to:
- Monitor activity in an area that is otherwise out of sight from the rest of the park
- Help deter and identify vandalism to the restrooms
- Provide documentation if illegal activity occurs, such as drug use
- Assist law enforcement if needed
- Improve safety in a secluded area where incidents could occur
⚠️ Why This Area Matters
The restroom area is located behind a block wall, making it hidden from general park visibility. Because of this, it can unfortunately become a location where:
- Someone might attempt to go through another person’s belongings
- Individuals could engage in illegal activity
- A person could be at risk of assault without immediate visibility
By having a camera in place, we are taking a proactive step to discourage this type of behavior and improve overall safety for everyone.
🔒 Your Privacy Matters
We want to be very clear:
🚫 The camera does NOT and cannot see inside the bathroom.
- It is strictly aimed at the exterior area near the doors
- It only records public activity outside the restrooms
- There is no view into any private restroom space
You can use the facilities with full confidence that your privacy is completely respected.
🛡️ Our Commitment
This camera is part of our ongoing effort to:
- Keep Hodor Park a safe and welcoming place
- Protect visitors and their belongings
- Maintain clean and vandalism-free facilities
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue working to improve safety for everyone in our community.
