My career spans 56 years, 20 with a local Engineering Firm and 36 with building construction. I began Building Construction with my own business developing one of the busiest firms in Columbia and surrounding counties.

I was very active with community civic activities. I served as Lake City/Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and Director. I was chairman of the Columbia Builders Council for 4 one-year terms, past president of the Lake City Jaycees, Kiwanis and local chapter of the American Cancer Society. I also served as State Director of the Florida Jaycees.

I was asked by Columbia County to serve on the Planning Council, spending part of the time as Chairman.

I received the Lake City Jaycee Distinguished Service Award, Lake City and Florida Jaycee Key man Award.

My experience in construction varies including building and remodeling homes, schools, shopping centers, law enforcement facilities and high-rise condominiums up to 22 stories.

My last employment adventure in life was 8 years as Building Inspector for Columbia County.

Now that I’m retired, I look forward to working with our community on improvements that we all can enjoy and be proud of.
